J-Weld GCR Gauge Corner Restoration welding using submerged arc welding process.

This automated welding machine was built with a project grant from UK Tram alongside ARR Rail Solutions and Pressure Design Hydraulics to prove low temperature pre heat welding on the gauge corner without damage to the polymer. All this from a single welder generator. No one thought you could Submerged arc weld from a welder generator and we proved them wrong. We also have full on board Data Logging that    e mails data straight to the client after the shift. We now use a Wi-Fi touch screen tablet control to eliminate even more cables.                         

This actual machine was purchased and is being used By Inline Track Welding around the UK and has done multiple kilometers of restoration welding on various networks.Then we made it even more user friendly by launching the J-Weld GCR002. 

Below is a recent picture of J-Weld GCR002 built for Sporveien AS for use on Oslo Tramway now delivered February 2025 ready for the new season.

This machine features full HMI control, Automatic flux dumping, twin drive wheels with auto braking, Safety radar, local remote control, with the power source built in the machine all is required is generator power. A thermal barrier is created by placing a heater on the strike on and strike off positions all with full data capture.

All weld procedures passed using the patented Low Temperature Preheat process.
